The first question I would ask is: what are you looking for in a business?
Are you looking to replace your current income?
Are you looking to supplement your income?
Do you want to be able to spend more time with family and friends?
The most important thing to know is what is called your ‘why’? why you want something is more important than how you’re going to get it. Make a list of what you’ll get out of business… what it will do for you as a person, and keep that handy where you can look at it everyday. Something to keep that in your thoughts as you either look for a business, or as you build yours.
There are a lot of really good businesses out there that you can work from your home. They all have the same issue though: how do you get new customers? Without new customers, your business just isn’t going to grow.
If you’re anything like me, you hate cold calling and going through genealogy lists. Let’s face it… prospecting like that stinks! I know I don’t like to try and build my business that way.
